A Navy veteran that was raised in California but addicted to Ruby Mountain powder Jason originally came out to Nevada as a guest on a heli-ski trip to explore the range. Early on the realization that this was the best kept secret to ski on earth spurred a change from chasing California mountain ranges to the remote Ruby and Independence areas. He is equally proficient in skiing and snowboarding so snorkel deep powder or hard fast days are no problem for him on either discipline. There is a certain magic in the Ruby Mountains that Jason wants to share with others as the crowds are non existent, the snow is drier, and the stoke is higher. Safety is his number one priority out in the backcountry though and wants to make sure whether you are a seasoned pro or first timer in the backcountry you understand how to navigate it.
